Overview

Featured here is a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe finished in a striking Elkhart Blue with a matching Dark Blue interior. The car was previously the subject of a full body-off restoration under previous ownership in the late 2000s to return it to the same prime aesthetic and mechanical state as when it first left the production line. The attentive restoration down to the smallest details returned all of its exterior, interior, and mechanical components to their original factory fresh condition according to this Corvette Coupe’s original sales invoice and associated production documentation. As the recipient of multiple awards and certifications, this example has received laudable affirmation of its highly-exclusive status within the classic Corvette community.

No detail was left out to ensure every feature of this Corvette has been restored to the highest grade possible, while adhering to its original factory specification. The exterior was fully stripped, surfaces were repaired, and it was resprayed in fresh Eikhart Blue along with a subtle Teal Stinger stripe. A set of 15” Chevrolet rally wheels riding on newly-appointed Red-Line tires, mechanical front headlights, exterior chrome bumpers, and a ‘Stinger’ front hood confirms this Corvette’s original appearance. The Dark Blue interior is appointed with color-coordinated Vinyl seats, headliner, and side door panels as well as a two-tone Dark Blue and Black dashboard. Chrome features continue with the gear shift knob and handbrake lever - indicating a tasteful original specification.

Under the hood sits a 427 cu-in L36 V8, mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, both fully rebuilt over the course of the restoration. The suspension and braking systems were similarly overhauled, along with the electrical system, carburetor, and all ancillary systems. Under 20,000 miles are now displayed, making this example ideal for any classic car collector or passionate Corvette historian who seeks to own a fine example of one of the American car industry’s most coveted models.

Official recognition, along with a previous ‘Top Flight’ award in April 2010 granted by the National Corvette Restorers Society, plus an additional 'Top Flight' award granted in 2023, acknowledges the professional restoration this 1967 Corvette Coupe’s received. Official judging sheets confirm it met all of the rigorous criteria to qualify for the title, along with the certificate and its winning ribbon. The car was also a Bloomington Gold winner and a 2023 MCACN (Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals) Triple Diamond Winner, further cementing this example's status. Adding to this Corvette’s dedication towards originality and serving as a prime example of a restored classic American vehicle is a series of original literature and documentation included with the sale. These documents include period-correct accessories and literature, warranty booklet, Protect-O-Plate, dealer invoice, sales brochure, window sticker, and sale contract when this Corvette was first delivered. Accompanying these items are a Seller’s Disclosure, a key, maintenance records, and a photo book documenting the restoration process.

Since its introduction in the 1950s, the Chevrolet Corvette has established itself as a status symbol of the American lifestyle, the prized driver of choice among elite and celebrity figures, and continues to draw admirers among enthusiast crowds of today, from casual morning car meetings to racing down the quarter-mile strip.
