1972 | Porsche 911E
Overview
This 1972 Porsche 911E underwent significant maintenance and a detailed refurbishment over the past two years, totaling over $23k and returning it to its original glory. The vehicle's body was disassembled, ensuring every panel was meticulously cataloged and inspected. The body was then stripped before being expertly refinished in its factory-correct Gulf Blue (36) color. All chrome and brightwork were reconditioned to shine like new, while the interior was freshened using period-correct materials and finishes, capturing the essence of the 911E’s classic charm.
Further refurbishment work included a thorough overhaul of the drivetrain, featuring a complete transmission rebuild and the installation of a new clutch disc to ensure smooth and precise gear shifts. The engine received significant attention, with the case being resealed, the MFI system expertly tuned, and new heat exchangers, an 11-blade fan, and a new starter installed to enhance performance and reliability. Additionally, new gaskets, bushings, and hoses were fitted throughout the vehicle to address wear and tear and ensure all systems function flawlessly. Before finalizing the work, a borescope inspection and leak-down test were performed, confirming that the engine was in excellent condition, negating the need for a full rebuild. This 911E is not just a stunning showpiece but a true driver’s car ready for the road. It is offered with refurbishment records, photos of the refinishing process, a Porsche Product Specifications Certificate, a Seller's Disclosure report, and a clean title.
