Overview

This 1988 Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole, one of approximately 610 produced between 1985 and 1988, stands as an iconic example of 80s poster car excellence. Finished in striking Nero Tenebre over Nero leather, it roars to life with a 5.2-liter quad-cam V12 engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission. This Italian masterpiece is equipped with a limited-slip differential, European-style bumpers, scissor doors, fog lights, and distinctive silver-finished 15″ Ruote OZ wheels. Inside, the gated shifter, cassette stereo, and air conditioning ensure a driving experience that's both exhilarating and comfortable. Originally sold in Canada, this Countach made its way to the US in 2021 and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024. With just 12,500 kilometers (~7,750 miles) on the odometer, it is now offered in Miami, Florida, complete with an owner’s manual, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean title.

The Countach, introduced as a prototype in 1971 and designed by Bertone’s Marcello Gandini, revolutionized car design with its angular wedge-shaped styling and scissor doors. This 5000 QV model, debuting in 1985, features Kevlar front and rear deck lids, a tubular steel space frame, aluminum bodywork, and NACA ducts aft of the doors. The Nero Tenebre exterior is complemented by European-style bumpers, vented side skirts, pop-up headlights, and fog lights. Notably, the right-front fender has undergone paint correction to address a color variation, however the rest of the paint appears to be the original single-stage finish.

The car rides on silver-finished 15″ Ruote OZ wheels wrapped in 225/50 front and 345/35 rear Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires, ensuring exceptional grip and handling. Its fully independent suspension with coil springs and telescopic shock absorbers, along with four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, provides a thrilling yet controlled driving experience. The Nero leather cockpit features bucket seats, a gated shifter, and a suite of gauges, including a 320-km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline. The Bizzarrini-designed 5.2-liter V12 engine, with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, delivers an impressive 420 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, channeling power to the rear wheels through the centrally mounted five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. This Countach also boasts a Tubi Style exhaust system, enhancing its already legendary soundtrack. The sale includes a tool roll, manufacturer’s literature, and a binder of comprehensive service records, many of which are viewable in the "Documents" gallery above.
