Overview

Alongside the most recognizable shapes of the 1980s, Ferrari's 308 left more than a generational impact beginning with its Paris Auto Show debut in 1973. Its Pininfarina design was among the longest-serving of any sired by the Modena marque, running through model year 1989. The 308 and later 328's staying power buffered more than just sales. Speedline wheels, pop-up headlights, and ample power accessories made the platform a future classic from day one.

.

The 308 / 328 saw Ferrari through a swan-song of pre-unibody construction while introducing world markets to fuel injection and antilock braking. Starting from the 308's trim three-liter V8, the 328's bump in displacement added 50 horsepower to a total of 260 through the end of production. Available in GTB or GTS targa configuration, appreciable differences existed between US and European-spec examples that, when new rang in a finale of the gray market era. Most notably, compliant front and rear bumper facia, fuel delivery, and exhaust arrived better integrated over former efforts by the manufacturer to federalize the preceding 308.

.

Finished in Rosso Corsa over Beige leather, this Ferrari 328 GTS is pure 1988. Imported to Canada in 2014, low mileage and well-kept condition unfold to offer an ideal of-the-era prancing horse. A three-spoke Momo steering wheel, supple Connolly leather seating, gated five-speed manual gearbox, and removable GTS targa roof offer time travel in period style. Instrumentation and acoustics benefit from Veglia Borletti gauges and a Blaupunkt Denver SQR 26 AM/FM/Cassette deck. Factory rated at 260 horsepower, a thrilling soundtrack accompanies any drive in this true US-spec two-seater featuring a conservatively modified Tubi exhaust system. Exemplary maintenance and an odometer reading of 4,407 miles shown elevate this 328's appeal. A clean Quebec registration, Carfax report, and Ferrari Classiche red book w/Certificate of Authenticity accompany the sale. The seller will advise regarding importation for US buyers as needed.
