This bespoke restoration by The LandRovers brings tasteful improvement to the spartan aesthetic of the iconic Land Rover Defender 110. We are excited to auction this capable and finely crafted example with Sotheby's Motorsport.
Overview
Notable Amsterdam-based restorer, The LandRovers, opened its doors in 2010. The collaboration of founders Daniel van Oort and Peter Zeisser exists today as a thriving operation offering commission-built Land Rover restoration of the highest caliber. Specializing in both ICE and EV powertrains, The Landrovers' approach is entirely modern, thorough to a T, and duly acclaimed.
Finished in Satin Blue over Gray and Blue leather, this 1992 Land Rover Defender 110 arrives in fine form as "The Granser" built to order by The LandRovers. Attention to detail is evident from every angle inside and out. Diamond stitched leather seating with blue piping coordinate interior colors complete with matching door panels and billet aluminum touch points. Alcantara headliner, wood-rimmed steering wheel, custom gauge cluster, Morel and Pioneer audio components, USB ports, air conditioning, and added cupholders elevate this Defender's interior appointments. This 110's opposed rear seating offers versatility and maximized interior cargo space at no compromise to comfort.
Exterior features and performance equipment configured make this truck's specification second to none. Refined yet robust, this Defender's 430 horsepower LS3 V8 is managed by a six-speed automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel-drive. 18-inch contemporary Land Rover wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich All Terrain tires, matching full-size spare, and four-wheel disc brakes provide sure-footed control in all conditions. OLED lighting (including a roof mounted light bar), custom grille, vented front fenders, black diamond plate panels, rear ladder, and custom bumpers set this Defender apart. A current odometer reading of just 2,955 miles reflects total mileage following restoration. This Land Rover is auctioned with both a clean Kentucky Title and clean Carfax report.

Known Shortcomings
This vehicle shows wear consistent with its low mileage and age according to a third-party Inspection Report. Please review the entire document by viewing "Extra" images below. Inspector comment include:
- This vehicle looks to have been well kept with almost no issues of note. I found no obvious signs of the vehicle having prior major accident or flood damage. The underside has been undercoated/painted. The undercoating/paint can hide rust. The underside shows areas of surface rust. See pictures. The exterior shows wear with what is considered to be appropriate for the age and mileage of the vehicle.
- The interior shows well with normal wear noted. There is light wear to the drivers seat. Normal for mileage. The carpet shows normal wear consistent with age and mileage. All accessories are working as designed.
