1998 Ferrari 355 F1 Spider

Spiritual successor to the 348, Ferrari's 355 offered from model years 1995-1999 revived the manufacturer's appeal en masse. Throughout production of Berlinetta, Spider, and GTS body styles, either a gated six-speed manual transmission or Ferrari's first deployment of the now-staple F1 paddle-shifted automated manual could be specified. Exiting the 1980s, choice in both exterior and interior configured colors extended well beyond Rosso Corsa over Nero. Soft exterior shades and natural leather interiors again entered the mainstream alongside optional performance equipment in spades. In any assembly, the model's complex exhaust note and Pininfarina form served to elevate the 355 to an ethereal realm.  

 

This 1998 Ferrari 355 F1 Spider is finished in Rosso Corsa over tan leather with red piping. It's 3.5L V8 produces 375 horsepower and 268 pound feet of torque, transferred to the road by a six-speed F1 automated transmission and limited slip differential. Inside, tan leather surroundings coordinate with matching carpets for an airy, driver-centric cabin. Vented rear decklid and iconinc pop-up headlights complement staggered-width 18-inch magnesium wheels with Pireli P-Zero tires that sit over red Ferrari brake calipers. A total odometer reading of just over 14,500 miles reflects its excellent condition, with an annual service reported by the seller around 400 miles ago. It is now offered with a clean Carfax report, a seller's disclosure report, and a clean title.

• Paint scrapes under the front lip are viewable in the gallery above 

• The front seats don’t move forward automatically when putting the convertible top down
• The driver side front fender and driver door paint metered higher than on the driver side. The driver side rear fender also reads a little higher than the opposite side as well, indicating possible refinishing
• Door ding in passenger side door
• Small rock chips on front bonnet
• Small chip/ crack in the windshield near the rear view mirror
• Front and rear bonnet shocks need to be replaced
• Aftermarket shields shown in the photos
• Aftermarket carpets. Some wear in the seats due to age.
• There are a few buttons in the center console area that are sticky
