2001 | 1-Owner BMW Z8
Overview
First unveiled as the Z07 concept car in 1997, BMW’s Z8 limited production roadster was produced from 1999 to 2003. The car’s timeless contours gave new life to the manufacturer’s classic 507 of the 1950s. Designed by Henrik Fisker, the elegance and spirit of its predecessor met advanced technology and performance capabilities of the new millennium. The production version retained many design cues from the concept, including a long hood, short deck, and wide kidney grilles. Its 4.9-liter V8 engine borrowed from the M5 producing 394 horsepower/368 lb-ft of torque, enabling 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds. A lightweight aluminum spaceframe provided perfect 50/50 weight distribution and excellent handling characteristics.
.
An instant hit among marque enthusiasts, the Z8’s six-speed manual transmission ensured engaging driving dynamics. Suspension also shared with the BMW’s 5-Series, included front MacPherson struts and a multi-link rear end. The car’s interior boasted high-quality materials, leather upholstery, and a retro-inspired instrument cluster centered in the dashboard. GPS navigation system and premium audio counted among of-the-era modernizations. With only 5,703 units built, the Z8 enjoyed status as a sought-after collectible from new, renowned for its timeless design and impressive performance.

Finished in Titan Silver over Black, this 2001 BMW Z8 features a black soft top as well as a body-color removable hardtop. Interior amenities include all Nappa Leather upholstery in black, heated sport seats, a Harmon Kardon sound system, 6-disc CD changer, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a power telescopic steering column. Heated power exterior side mirrors are complemented by neon turn signals and brake lights in addition to xenon headlights with washer jets. Staggered-width 18" 10-spoke alloy wheels ground the car and are mounted over ventilated disc brakes with Dynamic Brake Control. This example has been cared for by one owner since new, and tastefully upgraded with a frame performance package, UUC Motorwerks short shift kit, and additional accessory power outlets. Showing an odometer reading of just 53k miles, this Z8 benefits from a clean Carfax report, third-party inspection report, and a clean title plus comprehensive included service records, memorabilia, and spare parts.
