Overview

The Ferrari 360 Spider, released initially in 2000 to replace the F355, emerged as a new pinnacle in the lineage of mid-engine, V8-powered Ferrari convertibles. Engineers crafted the 360 Spider with extensive aluminum for the chassis, body, and suspension components - a first for Ferrari. The integration of aluminum reduced overall weight, improved handling and acceleration, and set new standards in manufacturing precision and quality. The 360 Spider marked a departure from traditional Ferrari styling, and featured a new Pininfarina design that emphasized smooth lines and advanced aerodynamics. The convertible Spider introduced a fully automatic retractable soft-top system, a novelty for Ferrari, which did not compromise the car's sleek silhouette or newfound aerodynamic efficiency.

Under the hood, the 360 Spider was equipped with a reworked 3.6-liter V8 engine, capable of delivering 395 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and maximum torque of 275 lb-ft at 4,750 rpm. Available with a six-speed manual transmission, it offered an engaging and direct driving experience, with its distinctive gated shifter becoming a cherished feature among enthusiasts. Performance figures were commendable all around, boasting 0 to 60 mph acceleration of just over 4 seconds and a top speed exceeding 180 mph, remarkable feats for the time. The vehicle also featured all-new advanced controls, including an electronic stability and traction control system that enhanced handling without detracting from the car's rewarding tactile feedback. Inside, the Spider provided a blend of luxury and function, with a driver-oriented cockpit, high-quality materials, and comprehensive instrumentation, ensuring comfort and control.

The 2003 Ferrari 360 Spider offered here is equipped with a factory gated six-speed manual transmission linked to a limited-slip differential, which, coupled with its Rosso Corsa finish and Nero leather interior, makes for an extremely desirable spec. The iconic Ferrari livery comes with 'Scuderia' fender shields and red-painted calipers mounted over cross-drilled rotors. The 18" five-spoke alloy wheels are accented by Challenge-style grilles and a transparent engine cover, offering an unobstructed view of the mid-mounted V8. Inside, the cabin features power-adjustable Daytona-style seats trimmed in Nero leather upholstery with optional red inserts. Deviated red stitching accents the cabin in addition to a leather dashboard and an aftermarket Alpine head unit with a JL Audio amplifier and subwoofer. As detailed below, a timing belt service was completed in 2020, and over $30k worth of work was performed under current ownership, including a transmission-out service. Please see PDF service invoices in the "Document" gallery below. Showing fewer than 32k miles and presenting in excellent condition throughout, now is the time to make this true future classic a part of your collection. It is now offered with a clean Carfax report, a third-party inspection report, and a clean title.
