2004 | Ferrari 360 Spider
Overview
Released in 2000 to replace the F355, Ferrari’s 360 Spider emerged as a new pinnacle in the lineage of mid-engine, V8-powered Ferrari convertibles. Its high engineering featured extensive aluminum construction throughout chassis, body, and suspension components - a first for Ferrari. Such tactics reduced overall weight, improved handling and acceleration, and set new standards in manufacturing precision and quality. The 360 Spider marked a departure from traditional Ferrari styling, and featured a new Pininfarina design that emphasized smooth lines and advanced aerodynamics. The convertible Spider introduced a fully automatic retractable soft-top, a novelty for Ferrari, without compromising the car's sleek silhouette or aerodynamic efficiencies.
.
The car’s reworked 3.6-liter V8 engine delivered 395 horsepower at 8,500 rpm. Available with a six-speed manual transaxle the 360 offered direct and engaging dynamics—its distinctive gated shifter becoming a sought-after feature among enthusiasts. Performance figures boasted 0 to 60 mph acceleration in just over 4 seconds and a top speed exceeding 180 mph, remarkable feats when new. All-new advanced controls plus electronic stability and traction control enhanced handling without detracting from the car's rewarding tactile feedback. Inside, the Spider provided a blend of luxury and function with a driver-oriented cockpit, high-quality materials, and comprehensive instrumentation.
.
Rosso Corsa over Nero, the 2004 Ferrari 360 Spider offered here is equipped with a factory gated six-speed manual transaxle and limited-slip differential. The iconic Ferrari livery is accented by 'Scuderia' fender shields, cross-drilled brakes w/red-painted calipers, and 2-piece 18" BBS wheels. Top up or down, a transparent engine cover, offers an unobstructed view of the mid-mounted V8. Inside, the cabin features leather-wrapped carbon fiber bucket seating and deviated red stitching throughout. Showing fewer than 18k miles and presenting in fine form throughout, this Prancing Horse leads the pack in a class of its own. A leather-bound toolkit and comprehensive factory accessories complete its rarified well-kept condition. A clean title, Carfax report, and third-party inspection report are included in the sale.
