2005 Lamborghini Gallardo
Overview
Introduced in 2003, the Lamborghini Gallardo was the second model launched under the Italian manufacturer’s new ownership by Volkswagen AG (Audi). Serving as the Italian brand’s entry-level model, it aimed to capture a whole new generation of customers by demonstrating that Lamborghini ownership needn’t be as intimidating as perceived by previous models, with the ‘baby Lambo’ combining everyday usability with the mid-engined supercar platform.
This 2005 Lamborghini Gallardo Coupe presents a rare opportunity to acquire a mostly original, early model year example that touts low mileage and a visually striking, period-correct appearance that is destined to gain further appreciation as a modern collectible classic. The Giallo Midas paint finish is combined with the Gallardo’s iconic ‘Cassiopeia’ alloy wheels to make for a desirable specification. Inclusion of the desirable front nose lift system adds to the all-around usability of this Lamborghini. Additional exterior highlights include vibrant yellow-matching Lamborghini brake calipers, Xenon front headlights, and power-folding external side door mirrors. Exterior modifications are limited to a carbon fibre engine bay cover and the application of full exterior paint protection film that aids in the long-term preservation of this Gallardo’s time-capsule condition.
The inside features Nero Perseus leather upholstery, overlaid with contrasting Yellow (Giallo) stitching and leather piping details throughout the dashboard, both driver and passenger seats, and side door sections, rounded off by a leather roof lining. Cabin equipment featured on this example includes electronically-adjustable seats with heating function, dual-zone climate control, a digital multi-function instrument cluster display, aluminum-style pedals, and an anti-theft system. Minimal interior modifications are present, limited to an aftermarket carbon-leather combination steering wheel with coordinated yellow stitching details and a touchscreen Kenwood head unit.
The 5.0L mid-mounted, naturally-aspirated V10 engine routes power to all four wheels through the optioned ‘E-Gear’ automated manual transmission, allowing the driver to enjoy the analog, raw nature of this supercar with automatic-shifting convenience or manual control through the paddle shifters. More responsive throttle settings via the installation of a 'Sprint Booster' provide more spirited power delivery of the V10 powerplant - seen within owners' circles to offer a sharper, more thrilling soundtrack compared to that offered in later iterations.
Just under 8,600 miles are presently reported on the odometer. Seller’s Disclosure, one key fob, factory literature, and tool kit accompany the sale of this Lamborghini.
