Introduced in 2003, the Lamborghini Gallardo was the second model launched under the Italian manufacturer’s new ownership by Volkswagen AG (Audi). Serving as the Italian brand’s entry-level model, it aimed to capture a whole new generation of customers by demonstrating that Lamborghini ownership needn’t be as intimidating as perceived by previous models, with the ‘baby Lambo’ combining everyday usability with the mid-engined supercar platform.

More responsive throttle settings via the installation of a 'Sprint Booster' provide more spirited power delivery of the V10 powerplant - seen within owners' circles to offer a sharper, more thrilling soundtrack compared to that offered in later iterations.
