2006 | Ed Bolian's Gated Manual Gallardo Spyder from Car Trek 1
Overview
Unveiled in 2005, Lamborghini countered its competitors' convertible V8 offerings in dramatic fashion. Dubbed Gallardo Spyder, Sant'Agata's new contender arrived motivated by a 510 horsepower 5.2L V10 in roofless Spyder configuration. Available with either EGear automated manual or gated manual gearbox, six-speed gearing and all-wheel-drive catapulted the short-wheelbase bull to 60mph and a top speed of 195 mph.
.
While searching for a bargain supercar for the filming of Car Trek 1, VINwiki founder and prominent YouTuber Ed Bolian stumbled across this gated six-speed manual 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. A deal was struck for the flood-damaged and subsequently salvaged vehicle. Purchasing on the premise of the car needing "a lot of servicing, a great deal of clean-up, and a throw-out bearing," Bolian soon received a new-to-him first year Gallardo in barely running condition. Soon brought back from near-dead, this Spyder was reconditioned for road use in short order.
.
Originally finished in black over cream leather, this 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder remains largely as-shown in Car Trek 1. Vinyl decals and the car's Blu Le Mans PPF wrap conceal original paint and the black fabric convertible top is stated to function without issue. Items replaced under Bolian's ownership include rear main seal, throw-out bearing, clutch, and fuel pump. All four Pirelli tires mounted show 8/32 tread depth. Currently displaying an odometer reading of 15,575 miles, this Lamborghini is sold with a Rebuilt Salvage Ohio Title. Front trunk and included Georgia CARTREK license plate signed by Ed Bolian are included in the sale.
