This 2008 BMW M5 is a breakthrough sports sedan made even more potent by famed BMW tuning outfit Dinan. Finished in Silverstone Metallic with Black Extended Merino Leather interior, the 5.0-liter V10 engine has been upgraded with Dinan stage 1 engine software, a stage 1 and stage 3 tune, limited slip differential, carbon fiber strut brace, intake, and exhaust. It includes 20-way power multi-contour front seats ($1,900), a head-up display, a comfort access system, and a premium sound system with enhanced bass. With single-owner history, a clean Carfax report, and just over 60,000 miles, it has been both properly enjoyed and well-maintained with appropriate documentation of factory-scheduled maintenance.

The E60 generation was the first to introduce a V10 engine in a production vehicle. A new generation of sequential manual gearboxes, the SMG-III, also debuted with a 7-speed layout. This was a top-of-the-line BMW, even beyond its powertrain, with cross-drilled and ventilated compound disc brakes, M suspension control, and electronic damper control. Inside, the iDrive system included an 8.8” screen, brushed aluminum-accented performance-oriented cabin, and white gauges highlighting the M-design instrumentation. BMW Ambiance Lighting was also included on each model, along with park distance control for the front and rear.

At the time, the E60 M5 was controversial for its design language and cutting-edge features. Today, it remains remarkably current while blending the visceral thrill you’d expect from the ultimate driving machine.
