2010 | Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE
Overview
The development of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, internally referred to as F141 represented a leap in technology and introduced several new aspects to the Italian brand's lineup. The vehicle, designed by the renowned Pininfarina, first appeared at the Geneva Motor Show in February 2006. The car was named after its engine capacity of 5,999 cubic centimeters and the illustrious Fiorano Circuit, a Ferrari testing track, and followed up on the legacy of the successful but aging 575M Maranello. It featured innovative aerodynamics, including unique sail panels near the rear window that channeled air to a straight-line rear spoiler, showcasing the increased importance of aero efficiency in the modern era.
The 599 GTB Fiorano's V12, Enzo-derived engine was the most powerful in Ferrari's series production at the time, achieving record-breaking power and torque without resorting to turbocharging. This model introduced an aluminum frame for enhanced structural integrity, a lengthier wheelbase for better stability, and an improved power to weight ratio. It also debuted a novel traction control system and the F1 SuperFast 6-speed automated manual transmission with paddle shifters, capable of shifting gears in just 100 milliseconds. This innovative system set a new benchmark for subsequent Ferrari GT models.
The 2010 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano offered here features the Handling GTE package, an exclusive suite of upgrades that drastically improve overall handling via a lowered suspension, stiffer springs, a revised rear anti-roll bar, and 3-piece forged wheels. The package also enhances performance by adding a reworked exhaust system, a remapped throttle response, and an enhanced F1 gearshift actuation, improving shift times to a mere 85 milliseconds. This example is finished in striking Giallo Modena over a Nero leather interior and is well traveled, having originated as a Middle East-model vehicle before spending time in Russia and eventually making its way to the US, with its first Carfax entry occurring in 2016. The selling dealer states a comprehensive service was recently performed, and the valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, air filters, accessory belt, and left wiper arm cap were reportedly replaced. In addition, the TPMS system is said to have been reset after the tires were inflated. Further desirable features include carbon ceramic brakes, an aftermarket carbon fiber rear diffuser, a carbon fiber driving zone, heated carbon fiber sport seats, yellow deviated stitching, and carbon fiber door sills, door panels, and trim. This 599 GTB Fiorano is now offered with a clean Carfax report, a third-party inspection report, and a clean title.
