Aston Martin's Rapide, introduced in 2010, marked the brand's return to the performance four-door saloon market, a segment it had not competed in since the discontinuation of the Lagonda in 1989. Developed to combine Aston Martin's signature blend of high performance, luxury, and elegance in a more practical package, the Rapide was based on the DB9 and utilized a stretched version of its bonded aluminum structure. Powered by a 5.9-liter V12 engine, the Rapide delivered 470 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 5 seconds and reaching a top speed of 188 mph, impressive feats for a saloon. The engine was coupled with a six-speed Touchtronic 2 automatic transmission, offering both manual and automatic shift modes to cater to a wide range of driving preferences.

Seamlessly blending form with function, the Rapide's design captured the brand's ethos of elegance and power. Its exterior styling combined traditional Aston Martin design cues, such as the iconic front grille and the muscular haunches, with the practical requirements of a four-door saloon. The car's profile maintained a svelte and aerodynamic silhouette, accentuated by a long wheelbase and low roofline. The Rapide's hand-finished interior was equally striking, featuring fine materials including hand-stitched leather, polished wood veneers, and metal accents. According to the seller, the car is equipped with an aftermarket exhaust valve controller, although the valves are currently set to a permanently open position. The selling dealer states they will re enable the controller should the buyer wish. 

Recent service records viewable in the "Extras" gallery below show fluid changes and the replacement of the front brake pads. Additional work is reported to have included replacing the crankshaft sensor, ignition coils, inlet manifold gaskets, and tires.
