Solely produced for the 2011 model year, BMW’s 1M defined the mountaintop of M-performance. The ultra-rare high-performance version of the manufacturer’s featherweight 1-Series combined the best hardware on offer from BMW at the time and was only offered with a six-speed manual transmission. Thanks to super-quick steering and a remarkably short wheelbase, the car was praised as a nimble and uncompromising alternative to its larger, more expensive M3 sibling.
