Introduced in 2011, the 458 Italia marked a significant evolution in Ferrari's mid-rear-engined sports cars lineage. Engineered with a 4.5-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine, it delivered 562 horsepower at a remarkable 9,000 rpm. This power unit combined direct fuel injection—a first for Ferrari V8 road cars—with traditional Italian high-revving characteristics.
