I am excited to auction this 2014 Jaguar XKR-S GT—1 of just 25 for the North American market—with Sotheby’s Motorsport. Both the first owner and I diligently maintained the vehicle during our respective ownerships.
Overview
Synonymous with low-slung style, Jaguar's XK8—internally named X100— gracefully steered the manufacturer into the 2000s. While the vehicle shared underpinnings of the XJS it superseded, the new model was unmistakable for its racy change of course. In supercharged form, the XKR defined aspirational heights of Jaguar's grand touring coupe range.

Clean-sheet design for 2007 (X150) resulted in XK and XKR offerings with staying power into the following decade. Initially powered by an uprated version of Jaguar's supercharged 4.2L V8 delivering 420 horsepower, the new XK received an additional liter of displacement and direct injection by model year 2010. The now-510 horsepower XKR saw two further boons to enthusiast coffers with 2012's XKR-S, and a final run of just 25 XKR-S GTs—both models touting 550 horsepower.

Despite its track-oriented configuration, interior amenities abound from heated performance front seats and steering wheel to 525-watt Bowers & Wilkins audio, touch-screen navigation, and backup camera with front/rear parking sensors. Power is provided by a supercharged 5.0L V8, driving rear wheels via six-speed ZF automatic transmission and Active Differential Control. Originally delivered to Jaguar Monmouth of Ocean Township, New Jersey, two owners from new are reported by the Carfax. Currently located in Roswell, Georgia, the vehicle now shows fewer than 100 miles added under present ownership.
