Capable yet comfortably refined over its spartan predecessor, the 2017+ Wrangler (JL-generation) offered enthusiasts and new customers alike the best Jeep yet—on the road or off. As with the generation prior, the JL Wrangler came available in two and four-door variants. The model's all-new chassis was developed further to debut the brand's first pickup configuration in over 20 years, the Gladiator.

Internally referred to as the JT, the crew-cab Gladiator added 19 inches to the Wrangler's wheelbase. Complete with removable doors and roof panels, the pickup was undeniably a Jeep. Either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission could be specified alongside diesel and gasoline powertrains. Jeep's storied enthusiast aftermarket received the truck with open arms. All six wheels receive power from the 285 horsepower 3.6L V6 via eight-speed automatic transmission and 4.88 axle gearing. Steel front winch bumper and LED trail lighting add to off-road versatility. The eight-foot bed with folding cover spans additional drive wheels and chassis suspended with lift springs and Fox shocks.
