2022 | 0 Hours Mercedes-AMG GT Track Series - 1 of 55
Overview
Following the SLS AMG (2010-2015), Mercedes-Benz’s storied performance division became ever more integral to the company’s top-tier models. In the next iteration of a tradition begun with the 300 SL, a new coupe—sans gullwing doors— was unveiled at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, dubbed AMG GT. Producing up to 720hp by 2021’s Black Series offering, Mercedes-AMG’s hand-built 4.0L Biturbo mill and robust 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox delivered on a fine balance of supercar performance and grand-touring capability across trim levels.
.
For those seeking closed course-only thrills, a production run limited to just 55 units commemorated as many years since the founding of AMG in 1967. Designed to FIA GT3/GT4 regulations, the AMG GT Track Series rang in a new era of competition-ready factory performance co-developed with HWA AG. Uprated fuel delivery, revised engine management, and more yielded a total output raised to 778hp. Hewland 6-speed sequential shifting sent power rearward, while downforce-inducing scalloped carbon bodywork housed dedicated cooling systems and air intakes throughout.

This 2022 AMG-GT Track Series presents true to form in model-specific 1 of 55 livery over Matte Silver paint. One of few ordered in a non-metallic sheen, this car's distinctive finish offers paramount exclusivity. Inside, AMG racing buckets complete with Schroth Racing harnesses face a steering yoke and spartan array of focused controls. A fully integrated roll cage runs front to back protecting both passengers and a fuel cell mounted behind, while carbon fiber extends to nearly all interior panels. Forged 18” wheels staggered to 13” wide rear treads sit over AP Racing brakes with j-hook rotors for sure grip and supreme stopping power. With clean documentation, zero run-time, and included spare parts packages, this example presents essentially new-in-box as the ultimate track enthusiast centerpiece. For buyers intent on exercising this track star's full potential, Track Series variants remain eligible for direct sales service and support through HWA AG.
