2023 | Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
Overview
The eighth generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, unveiled in 2019, represented a groundbreaking new chapter in the model's storied saga. For the first time in its more than 60-year history, the Corvette transitioned from a front-engine to a mid-engine layout, a design evolution that General Motors had teased in various concept vehicles over several decades. This bold transformation was driven by a quest for superior performance, aiming to rival exotic supercars in agility, speed, and handling. The C8, with its striking aesthetics and state-of-the-art engineering, not only upheld the Corvette's reputation as America's iconic sports car, but also positioned it on the global stage as a serious contender against much pricier competitors.
Much of the same proven equipment remains for the 2023 model year, confirming the car has found its foothold. The vehicle is loaded with options enhancing both performance and comfort and is offered here in top-level 3LT trim. This example is finished in Arctic White (G8G) with black accents and features the Stingray R Appearance package, which adds race-themed exterior decals. The formidable, mid-mounted, 6.3L LT2 V8 delivers power to the rear wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller reports the car is also fitted with an aftermarket exhaust system, further improving power. Ensuring the road rocket comes to a stop are 12.6" front and 13.3" rear brake rotors complete with red-painted calipers. All of this kit rides on an optional Z51 Performance Suspension that is not to be outdone by the addition of an adjustable front lift system with height memory.
The interior follows in form with a similarly well-specced style, featuring heated, ventilated, and power-adjustable sports seats upholstered in Jet Black Napa leather with carbon fiber trim accented by optional Adrenaline Red custom stitching. The 8" digital infotainment screen keeps the driver informed with built-in navigation and is linked with a premium 14-speaker Bose sound system. Overall, this C8 Corvette represents the best in performance and comfort and will deliver thrills and memories for years to come and is now offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean California title.
