Long before Porsche’s US-market success at scale, tactful, low-volume specials lent credence to the brand’s reputation as a distinct and sporting alternative. 1952 saw production of the marque’s first USA-only offering, the 356 America Roadster. With fewer than 20 units built, the rarified raconteur offered inspiration for the forthcoming 356 Speedster (1954). Four decades passed before a succeeding 911 paid homage to Porsche’s first roofless stateside trendsetter—resulting in the 1992 America Roadster.  

For model year 2023, a fitting tribute found footing in Porsche’s design catalog. Planned with limited production of just 115 between the USA and Canada, a 992-generation Carrera GTS Cabriolet was chosen to breathe new life into the America’s tried and true recipe. Already a star, GTS trim assembled high points of the contemporary 911 range, thoughtfully packaged as the enthusiast driver's best-spec. From this base, a reminiscent Paint to Sample color palette arrived exclusively paired with a 473hp 3.0L flat-six, rear-wheel-drive, and seven-speed manual transmission. Staggered wheels came finished in a one-off red and white schema, complementing the car’s deep exterior shade. Black windscreen trim and America edition motif completed the Cabriolet’s truly special aesthetic.

Finished in Azure Blue 356 over Black leather, this 2023 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America delivers on Porsche heritage. The cabin’s focus centers on model-specific driver touchpoints complete with Sport Chrono Package and heated leather GT Sport Steering Wheel. Guards Red interior highlights feature from seatbelts to elaborate cross-stitching on dashboard, door panel, and center console trim.
